The characteristic of acrylic resin is it not only can reduce kitasamycin dissolved in the stomach, but also can prolong kitasamycin dissolving time to prolong the effective time to intestinal bacteria. And it is not affected by high temperature granuling.
The coating material of kitasamycin with beautiful shape and crystal color is Stearic Acid[CH3(CH2)16COOH]. It is not easy to dissolved in small intestine that why teast is not bitter in same PH value of saliva. ?And the melting point of Stearic Acid is 69~70℃.Normally, all Stearic Acid were melted when granuled, actually with no protection to kitasamycin. We suggest this product use in powder feed.
You can use a beaker fill 60~70℃ water to verify the truth.
3 Why it is not scientific to judge kitasamycin quality by tasting the bitterness
That is because the PH value (6.0~7.0) in people's saliva is closed to PH value of intestines, for enteric-coated product, it is easy for the coating material dissolved and make kitasamycin quickly release, so people feel the bitterness. Actually, if you don’t feel the bitterness, means this is not enteric kitasamycin, because it can not dissolved in the same PH value in the small intestine.To test the enveloping quality, strict experiment is the only way.
4 If is means enteric-coated kitasamycin is very bitter and will reduce feed intake
The answer is not. Lies in three reasons:
The fist is kitasamycin is equally distributed is feed granule, only little can contact saliva.
The second is the kitasamycin and enteric-coating material were mix together, for every granule of kitasamycin, it will need 1~4 hour to totally release. So if there’s some kitasamycin can touch the saliva, just only small proportion dissolved.
The third reason is kitasamycin is not so bitter to affect the feed intake, the real resaon is its stimulate to the stomach.
In one test, we directly added kitasamycin raw powder 50g, 100g, 150g and 250g/ton in pig feed. There is no quick feed intake reducement happens. But after 1~2 hours, pigs will retch and refuse to eat feed, and the situation will be more serious with higher dosage. The reason is that the dosage is not high enough to directly stimulate the mucous membrane of mouth; but when kitasamycin goes into stomach and dissolved, its strong bitterness will stimulate never of stomach, cause retch and lose appetite. The fuction of enteric-coating is to avoid kitasamycin dissolved in stomach and stimulate the never of stomach. |
